ILLUMINATIONS

There is always plenty to do in Blackpool – the famous attractions, such as the Tower, Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Waterpark, and the many shows, amusements and clubs.  During the illuminations, lots of additional entertainments are provided.  The switch on ceremony itself is a great event, attracting thousands of spectators.  The World Fireworks Championships take place at this time. International Beach volleyball has been staged in the resort for the past few years. And the fantastic parade of the Honda Goldwing Motorbikes has become   an extremely popular spectacle. There is also the festival of light and with its artistic creations and designs.
